The latest iPhone has gone on sale to the public, and among its many new or upgraded features, is the ability to record video in 4K. Video creators will be able to film in 4K right off the bat, but because that format is such a data hog (Apple confirm that recording in this HD model takes up 375 MB of storage for every minute of video), you'll need to adjust the settings manually to take full advantage of the feature. Luckily this can be done in 3 very easy steps:

#1 The default video recording format on the 6s and 6s Plus is set to film at 1080p at 60 frames per second. To change this functionality on the inbuilt iOS app, open Settings, and go to 'Photos & Camera':

#2 Then click on 'Record Video' and switch the settings to show '4K at 30 fps'.

#3 Now you've told the phone to record video in 4K, all you need to do is double-check the setting by opening up the camera app. You should see the 4K icon clearly on the screen.

Now you are all ready to go. Just remember that changing to the 4K format in settings will keep this feature live when you come to record. If you want to change to another format, you'll need to go back into settings and update accordingly. This may not be a problem if you purchased the 64GB, or 128GB models, but if you go for the 16GB it could be. Recording footage using the default 1080p setting will use around 200MB for every 60 seconds of film captured, whereas 4K will consume almost double that, a whopping 375MB.
